ABK Seminar: ReFraming Resilience - 11th July

An Interactive One-Day Seminar on the Updated Resilience Framework

Dr Kathy Murphy and Bobbie Bhambree are thrilled to invite you to an exclusive, in-person seminar dedicated to exploring the newly refined Resilience Framework. This isn’t just an update—it’s a bold reimagining of how we understand and apply the biology of resilience to the training and rehabilitation of the dogs we work with, informed by the latest research and shaped by real-world practice.

This event marks two exciting firsts: the first time this updated framework will be presented, and the first time we have brought this concept to the U.K. If you’re passionate about resilience in dogs, this is a unique opportunity to engage with the framework directly from its creators.

Timings

The day will run from 10:00am – 5:00pm on 11th July 2025.
Breaks at 11:30am, 1:00pm (lunch), and 3:30pm.

All taking place in the Ashford International Hotel.

What’s New?

We are ReFraming resilience. We've streamlined the model and created new tools to assist with its implementation. These changes aren’t just cosmetic—they reflect deeper insights gained from its widespread use and new scientific findings, making a framework that is more adaptable, relevant, and impactful.

Why Attend?

This isn’t your typical seminar. It’s designed to be interactive, dynamic, and thought-provoking. You’ll be part of an engaging dialogue where your questions, experiences, and insights are not just welcomed—they’re integral to the day’s success.

  • Deep Dive into the neurobiology of resilience: Understand the nuances of the updated domains and how the foundational domain connects and strengthens them all.

  • Real-World Applications: Learn how the framework has been applied internationally across diverse settings, and how you can adapt it to your own work.

  • Interactive Discussions: Share your experiences, ask questions, and explore practical challenges in a safe, inclusive space.

  • Exclusive Insights: Gain firsthand knowledge directly from the framework’s co-authors, including the latest research that influenced these updates.

Who Should Attend?

This seminar is for canine professionals, educators, leaders, and anyone passionate about fostering resilience. Whether you work in veterinary medicine, education, animal behaviour, grooming, kennelling or training, you’ll leave with fresh perspectives and practical strategies to apply immediately.
